Awestruck- relieving the memories ( Northeast India)

Awestruck- relieving the memories( Northeast India)

Its not been long since I visited northeast India. The one place I spent most of my time Nagaland. Every 1 mile a different culture, language and a new world. From the noisy corner of metropolis to this awesome serene view of hilltop country. We need not attempt to climb hills to do something adventurous, Well the place in itself  stretches from one hill to another.

Everytime you want to feel rejuvenated, Well wake up up at 6 in the morning, take a stroll along the hills , admiring nature , Where better than to do Yoga on a hilltop.

The one place to visit in Nagaland is the Dzouku Valley situated between the borders of Nagaland and Manipur. Once on top, it gives an awesome view which is breadth taking. It is about 5 hours drive from Senapati district.

Planning to go..Well keep these things in mind . First pack clothes, blankets( its cold up there) and carry tent clothes and eatables. Ah! Remember to get a good camera for this once in a lifetime visit.

Nagaland- Cultural richness ( Northeast India)

Nagaland- Cultural richness

It seems like hardly anyone knows much about this beautiful state of Nagaland. For centuries the people of northeast India lived a simple life devoted to their work and culture. It is as much the part of India as other states. Their commitment to work for the nation is well known when the they played a crucial role in defending the country from other elements trying to destabilize the country.

Nagaland

Much as it is known for their bravery, it has always evoked a sense of awe among the visitors for their hospitality. One would feel at home once we interact with one of them so much so because they love someone from other place coming to their state to know more. It is a sense of pride for them to explain, show their cultures which I find so touching.

Time Spent- 13 days ( northeast India)

The first week was awesome. In the local hotels we were #fed with local delicasies ...bamboo shoot, fermented soyabean ..learned to cook few dishes. Everytime we tried cooking one on ourselves, it only tasted better.

The cultural festivals make it all more interesting

The second week was all about checking out the places. Local stores with some of the best brands and style. That amazing ride on the hills made us to experience the #safari ride too. Just one word to sum up "Awesome"

The adventurous land of the seven sisters ( Northeast India)

7 Sisters of India

northeast India

The seven sisters of India include Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh. Each and every state so unique yet so many similarities in culture , taste. Assam is the gateway to the other states. They are connected by roads, air and train. The beautiful lanscape of the hills and vast green pastures run from one state to other.

Mizoram the state with vast mountain ranges, Assam the land of the first oil field. Nagaland, a land of diverse languages and tribes, Manipur, the land of the great sportspersons, Meghalaya, the rock capital of India, Tripura, a distant hill place and Arunachal Pradesh, the land of Mithuns.

The beauty of the region can only be felt once we are there. The hospitality of the people are second to none. The cold wind and mystic land rides are just some of the few awesome experiences one can experience
